Peer Review Process
IMAGINT uses a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartiality and fairness in the review process.
First
submitted manuscripts are reviewed by an editor to verify: 1) the absence of plagiarism; and 2) their suitability to the topic and template.
Second
manuscripts deemed unsuitable will be rejected, while suitable manuscripts will be sent to two independent reviewers for further review, with the authors' personal contact information removed. The review process will last from 2 to 6 months, depending on the quality of the submitted article.
Types of Reviewer Recommendation
-
Revision Required: indicates that the manuscript requires minor revisions. Authors must revise and resubmit the manuscript within the specified timeframe.
-
Resubmit: Indicates that the manuscript requires major revisions. Authors may resubmit the revised manuscript as a new manuscript.
-
Accepted: Means the manuscript is ready for immediate publication.
-
Rejected: Means the manuscript is not suitable for publication in IMAGINT.
The final decision regarding the management of submitted manuscripts is made by the Journal Manager based on the reviewers' recommendations. Authors whose manuscripts are accepted will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), either conditional or unconditional.
